Learn hand building techniques using textured slabs and templates with Lynn Wood, AKA: The Pottery Texture Queen in this two-day workshop.

We will begin with a quick warm up to get started. Moving on, everyone will make a variety of slab projects using templates that Lynn has designed. Projects will include cups, several vase styles and the ever favorite bird feeder. Included in this process will be tips on a number of ways to use Lynn’s texture mats and tips on altering and creating your own templates. Laughing and learning will be a big part of this workshop.

Lynn Wood is a studio potter, educator, and designer/owner of her own line of texture mats and templates. She is inspired by textures found in nature, architecture and textiles and brings this joy into her work through pattern, texture and color. Lynn lives in Santa Rosa and both sells her work and teaches nationally.

A supply list will be sent before the workshop including clay and tools. Lynn will also be bringing texture mats, templates and pottery for sale.
